MS: 10-Year-Old Kid Offered Probation for Peeing Behind His Mom’s Car

His mom is rejecting the prosecutors’ absurdly strict probation rules.

A Mississippi 10-year-old has been sentenced to three months’ probation for urinating behind his mother’s car. But the boy’s mother is refusing to sign his probation agreement, citing the stringency of the agreement’s terms.

“It’s just a regular probation. I thought it was something informed for a juvenile. But it’s the same terms an adult criminal would have,” Carlos Moore, the family’s attorney, told the Associated Press on Tuesday. “We cannot in good conscience accept a probation agreement that treats a 10-year-old child as a criminal.”

In August, third-grader Quantavious Eason was seen urinating behind his mother’s car while she went inside an attorney’s office. Senatobia, Mississippi, police saw Quantavious, arrested him, and took him to a local police station. According to the boy’s mother, Latonya Eason, her son was even placed inside a jail cell, despite posing no threat to the officers.

Quantavious was charged with “child in need of supervision,” and a youth court judge sentenced him last week to three months of probation, as well as a two-page report on late basketball player Kobe Bryant.

According to the A.P., the terms of Quantavious’ probation resembled those given to adults—including that he submit to drug tests at his probation officer’s discretion and a ban on the boy possessing any weapons. The probation agreement also placed a strict 8 p.m. curfew on the boy, one that would apply despite the upcoming Christmas holiday.

“Can you say ‘stupid judge’, children? Good, I knew you could.” I want to see the idiot cop who arrested this little boy go and arrest the next dog he sees who pisses on a fire hydrant. And kudos for his mother for refusing to sign this bullshit. What is the judge going to do? Put this child in a juvenile facility to serve the full sentence? Maybe given that this judge seems to have little common sense. Sometimes when you have to go, you have to go, and I bet this judge can’t say with complete honesty that he hasn’t taken a piss out in the open somewhere.

I hope these fine “occifers” of the law (intentionally written that way) don’t ever patrol in a college town for they will get more than their fair share to see of those who will publicly urinate during sports seasons where imbibing is certainly to happen.

As for the book report, I wonder if the boy would have learned the subject he was to write about had a sex assault accusation in his history which was very public in being dealt with and settled in a civil suit being settled between the two after the accuser refused to testify in the criminal case. Probably not. What book is going to publish that fact for a 10 year old to read unless they get the adult biography?

And LE along with the DA wants the public to trust them daily? Not with these folks in charge to serve and protect (which SCOTUS has said they don’t have to).

I remember when I was this kid’s age back in the mid-70s, my dad was carrying me down I-15 in our Cadillac from the doctor’s office in Victorville, back home to Barstow. I had to whiz so badly, he pulled off the freeway and told me to go piss behind a bush in the desert. Now granted, I-15 was only 2 lanes with less traffic back then, but I remember my act of relieving myself didn’t turns heads from one passerby on the road.

‘Ridiculously absurd ludricrosity’ is the only way I can somewhat describe this.
What’s next? Toddlers in the daycare getting arrested for taking off their diaper??

Utter horse hockey…hope this useless officer is proud that he managed to save society from a 10 year old doing what you do when nature calls! Pathetic – BUT it does show how absurd this entire public shaming has gotten.

We just reported on a similarly absurd case involving the suicide of the woman who was arrested for using a vibrator on a beach at vocalhome.blogspot.com.
